We visit the 2024 Biophysical Society Meeting

This year’s annual meeting featured a blend of exciting science and stimulating conversations for us.

Three members of the groups attended along with Dimitris. Gabriele’s engaging talk on functional nanodomains of GPCRs in the morning of the very first day got us into the mood for the exciting and inspirational talks that were yet to come. I presented my poster later that week and attracted some interested observers who provided some extremely welcome and useful feedback.

Bookending the conference was Jens’ talk on GPCR nanodomains and their relation to membrane curvature. With his first talk at a major conference he managed to hit it out of the park!

This was Gabriele’s last conference with our group, I am happy that he attended and we got a final chance to discuss the multitude of ideas that are bound to pop up in such a stimulating environment. We hope to see him at future conferences!
